Meredith has been such an amazing part of my life since I started working with her in November 2016. I was frustrated, confused, and not totally sure where to turn relative to my relationship with food. I had relied on conventional doctors to help me figure out why I wasn’t able to lose weight and they always steered me toward physical solutions instead of mental solutions. I knew in my gut that I needed to fix what was going on in my head the most. I read a blog about Binge Eating and it just spoke to me like nothing else had. That’s when I found Meredith. And since November 2016, she has helped me think about my relationship with food in ways I never imagined. From throwing out my scale to realizing my triggers, Meredith has been with me every step of the way. Her style is calming, realistic, thought provoking, and understanding. Each week, she offers up realistic action items that fit with the body of work we’re doing. She’s enjoyable to talk to and has amazing ideas! I would (and do!) recommend Meredith to anyone who wants to have a better relationship with food!
I came to Meredith with some serious issues which I have been battling for a very long time. I wanted to change my relationship with food and I wanted to fix my relationship with my body. This was without a doubt going to be tough work. Meredith created a safe environment for me. Her knowledge as well as her sense of pace with the work has made the journey smoother than I had expected. Meredith’s practice is a great formula of her expertise of nutrition and awareness of all the emotions that surround food and body. I have come a long way since I started seeing Meredith and am happy to be continuing my journey with her.
I began my work with Meredith Berger, in the fall of 2016, after working with an eating disorder program, for 18 months. After completing the program, I was ready to continue my commitment of recovery.I could tell during that first session with Meredith, that she was the kind of provider that I needed. She started with the most important goal for me, that of empowerment and education.She approached my struggles with such compassion, respect and great insight. Her ability to do all this, while being informative, helped create a safe space to work on both soft and hard boundaries. She met my challenge of black & white thinking and my need for perfectionism with humor and grace. This created a belief in myself that I am deserving of self-care, that I am worthy and I can show myself love. Here is what I have learned, so far, by working with Meredith: That wellness is not only a possibility, but a reality! Meredith’s approach of being present with her whole being is a gift to this profession and I am extremely grateful for our work together then and now.
